关于木子联大的星期三

About Wednesday at Muzi Lianda 


      每个平凡的星期三,当我们徜徉在木子联大优美的城堡式校园时,总会发现每个孩子们手中都有一样“不平凡”的东西——有时是一束鲜花,有时是各式各样的眼镜儿,有时是一栋建筑模型,有时是个小玩具……它们好像不属于学生也不属于校园,可总让学生翘首企盼,乐在其中,又流连忘返;它们看起来互不相干,事实上却有一个共同的身份:木子联大周三英语日的主题道具。


Every ordinary Wednesday, when we wander around the beautiful castle-like schoolyard of Muzi Lianda, every child always has something "extraordinary" in their hands—sometimes a bunch of flowers, sometimes all kinds of things. Sometimes it’s a model of a building, sometimes it’s a small toy... They don’t seem to belong to the students nor to the schoolyard, but they always make students to look forward to it and enjoy it. They seem to have nothing to do with each other. But in fact they have a common identity: the theme props for the English Day of the Muzi Lianda Foreign Language Primary School.

      为了鼓励学生勇敢把学到的知识点流利说出来,我们把每周三定为英语日。


In order to encourage students to speak out the knowledge points they have learned fluently, we hold English Day on every Wednesday.


      一大早,同学们从老师那里领到了一张英语听说卡,正面划分了年级,还有本次英语日的主题和不同年级要学习的内容,背面有一列空白的签名表,学生能完整流利说给一个人听,就能获得一个签名,听众可以是校长、老师、外教、同学、家长等等。


Early in the morning, the students received an English listening and speaking card from the teacher, which divided the grades on the front, as well as the theme of this English Day and the content to be learned in different grades. There is a blank signature sheet on the back, so that students can complete. If you speak fluently to a person, you can get a signature. The audience can be principals, teachers, foreign teachers, classmates, parents, etc.

      除了前面提到的鲜花日、建筑日、眼镜日之外,我们每学期一共有24个主题,单词、句式、口语、听说读写和随机应变都涵盖了,妥妥是外国语小学的英语学习范儿!


In addition to the aforementioned the flowers day, the architecture day and the glasses day, we have a total of 24 topics per semester, covering vocabulary, sentence patterns, spoken English, listening, speaking, reading, writing, and adaptability. It is a suitable English learning model for foreign language primary schools!

关于花朵

About flowers


      这周,我们迎来了本学期也是一年级新生们“遭遇”的第一个英语日,主题是“Flower”。早晨还没入校,就能看到我们小绅士小淑女们手里拿着和家长一起提前精心准备的各种“花朵”(有鲜花,手工花,糖果花,画的花),“美”成了一道亮丽的风景线。


This week, our theme is “Flower”. Before entering school in the morning, we can see our little gentlemen and ladies holding some "flowers" (like fresh flowers, handmade flowers, candy flowers, painted flowers) which carefully prepared in advance with their parents.

      早读课上,老师带领同学们学习与花朵相关的词汇、句型及短文的知识介绍,同学们书声琅琅、兴致高昂。课间,同学们争相表达,最“抢手”的听众要数校长和外教,简直要被孩子们的花朵团团包围啦!


During the morning reading ,the teachers were teaching students the vocabulary of flowers. After class, the students rushed to the teacher’s office to communicate with teachers in English.

一花一世界

One flower ,one world


      对于母语非英语的孩子来说,英语的口语表达往往比读写的学习更加困难。能做到流利的表达,需要的不仅仅是单词句式的掌握,还有更高层次的要求——英语语言思维的形成。在英语学科核心素养中,语言文化习惯的培养也是一个重要的环节。同学们需要在大胆听说中,理解其它民族的思维习惯和语言文化,这是开阔国际视野的重要基石。因此,每朵花儿,每只小玩具的背后,都联系着整个世界。


For children whose mother tongue is not English. So, to speak English is often more difficult to learn than reading and writing. Fluent expression requires not only the mastery of words and sentences, but also the formation of English language thinking. In the core literacy of English, the cultivation of language and cultural habits is also an important link. Students need to understand the thinking habits, languages and cultures of other nationalities .Therefore, every theme is connected with the whole world.

      表达完之后呢?紧跟的是具有发展意义的评价方式:每学期我们会评选出英语日小达人,除了能拥有在国旗下领奖的机会,还能获得原版的从国外引进的阅读读物做奖品。输入后要输出,输出后需要再回到新一轮的输入中,这就是我们的英语生态环境。


Every semester, we will select Little Master of English Day, who will not only have the opportunity to receive the prize under the national flag, but also get the original reading materials imported from abroad as prizes.
